Jeffrey Payoute
A Legacy of Leadership and Community
Jeffrey Payoute was a cherished community member and a founding member of Keep It Real. Known for his vibrant personality and infectious energy, Jeff was a dedicated leader, a loyal friend, a loving father to Jaden, a brother to Carolyne, Josie, and Jasmine, and a beloved son to Mercie.
As a graduate and standout basketball player at Saint Patrick's High School, Jeff's charisma and unique ability to bring people together became the lifeblood of Keep It Real. His tradition of giving everyone unique nicknames like "Biscuit," "Pops," and "Roni" continues to resonate with those who knew him, serving as a testament to his enduring impact.
To honor Jeff’s unwavering commitment to integrity, leadership, and the values of Keep It Real, we celebrate his legacy through the Jeffrey Payoute Scholarship and the Jeffrey Payoute Impact Award. The scholarship supports deserving William Paterson University students who embody Jeff's values of integrity, leadership, and community involvement.
The Jeffrey Payoute Impact Award is given to someone who actively brings diverse groups together to collaborate on common goals, fostering a sense of unity and purpose among residents. These individuals might organize events, workshops, or initiatives that promote community bonding and personal development, echoing Jeff's dedication to empowering and uplifting others.
Through these initiatives, we ensure that Jeff’s legacy of service, leadership, and excellence endures, inspiring future generations to lead with purpose, kindness, and a commitment to making a difference.
