George M. Brown, Jr. is a seasoned accounting and finance professional with extensive experience driving process improvements and ensuring regulatory compliance within state government and retail banking sectors. His expertise in account reconciliation, financial reporting, and operations management has consistently enhanced efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
As the Purchasing Agent for the Township of Willingboro, George overhauled procurement processes to align with budgetary constraints and compliance regulations, improving vendor relations and streamlining contract renewals after being appointed by the Township Council. As Accounting Assistant for the Township, he reconciled outstanding accounts under strict deadlines and optimized accounts receivable processes, achieving audit excellence. As Finance Liaison for the Township, George spearheaded improvements in financial reporting, trained personnel on digital systems, and restructured payment and reporting procedures to enhance overall efficiency. As a consultant for the Bank of New York Mellon, he managed wire transfer activities and trade reconciliations, developed critical monitoring systems, and improved transaction processing efficiency.
George earned his Executive MBA from the Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance from William Paterson University.
