Dr. Hamisi K. Tarrant is a seasoned educator, leader, and community advocate with over two decades of experience in education. A proud 2004 graduate of William Paterson University and holder of a Doctorate in Leadership Studies from Marshall University, Hamisi has dedicated a career to fostering academic excellence, equity, and mental well-being within school communities.
Currently serving as the Dean of Students at Haddonfield Memorial High School, Hamisi brings a wealth of experience and a student-centered approach to the role. Before joining Haddonfield, 15 years were spent as a health and physical education teacher at Cherry Hill High School West, an alma mater, where Hamisi also coached football, basketball, and track.
Growing up in Camden, NJ, and later moving to Cherry Hill, NJ, personal experiences shaped a passion for education and community engagement. Outside of professional roles, Hamisi is a loving father of two and a devoted husband of 18 years. Hamisi is also the co-founder and Treasurer of Keep It Real (KIR), a nonprofit organization. Additionally, Hamisi is the owner of H & T Catering combining a love for culinary arts with a passion for bringing people together.
